Who we are

For five generations, our family has called Towne Estate & Vineyard home. Nestled in the quiet beauty of Walnut Grove, this historic property has been part of our story for over eighty years. Laura grew up here with her three siblings, spending long summer days working with her father on nearby farms and evenings gathered for family dinners on the back patio, traditions that continue to this day.

The home itself is a piece of living history. Built in 1925 as a Sears & Roebuck catalogue home and lovingly purchased by Laura’s grandparents in 1941, it’s been cared for and cherished by our family ever since. Every corner carries a story, from the century-old oak trees to the sunlit rooms that have witnessed generations of laughter, milestones, and celebration.

We’ve poured our hearts into preserving its charm while creating a space that feels both timeless and inviting. Picture mornings with coffee on the veranda, the sound of the Delta breeze through the vines, children playing soccer or frisbee on the front lawn (as ours have over the decades), and cozy movie nights in the spacious living room.

Just down the road, the Sacramento Delta invites you to explore its winding waterways. Perfect for an afternoon of boating or jet skiing. You can spend the day tasting local wines at Heringer Estates or Bogle Winery, enjoy a meal at one of our favorite nearby restaurants, or simply return to the estate to watch the sunset over the vines.

Towne Estate isn’t just a place to stay, it’s a place to slow down, connect, and create lasting memories. Whether you’re gathering with family, celebrating a wedding, or simply seeking a peaceful retreat, we hope you feel the same sense of magic and belonging that our family has cherished for generations.
